It's time for story time again. Todays topic- Burning of the Midnight Lamp, by Hendrix. During this song Hendrix does so many unnoticeable things its hard to keep track. In the beginning he is playing guitar, plus harpsicord. Also during the song when the chorus goes , aaaaah, that is him. He recorded himself and then put it together in different pitches. The solo is incredible as usual, as well as the recurring chorus is very catchy. Listen to it, and enjoy.

I think this song is Hendrix's greatest no doubt in my mind. It has ALL of the sounds he originated TOTALY a first time Hendrix experience I only hope I can capture. And after I can't and I haven't I just sit and listen He's a special person. With special music he gives us from his soul. If you ever see his biography on A&E you'll see where he had asked the producer to hide his vocals in the mix on that track........ Can you imagine that. All that talent and still humble. Nah I love Jimmy's voice and glad the dude put'm out front where they belong. Later Ron
