That's it! I'm sick of people thinking that Jimi Hendrix had "A" guitar or one guitar he always kept and loved named Susan or something. No! Not any time in his life was he like this. When he was a teenager in a band he would sell him guitar to a pawn shop so he could eat. The band would have a gig, he wouldn;t have a guitar, they would scrpae money together and buy it, then he would sell it again. As he grew up and became more noticed he still did not have 1 special guitar. When he was big, he would arrive for a concert and find a Fender Sratocaster in a box. Brand new. He would take it out, take ofg the strings, put them back on to make it left-handed, and then go out on stage. Many other times he would find two guitars. One for playing and one for burning or smashing. That's that. he didn't have "A" guitar.
One more thing. Hendrix wasn't a wildman either. he burned his guitar once, just once, and would smash them ocassionally. He was a hippy, very calm and peaceful. His managers wanted to create a wildman image for him to attract people. One of my friends told me that they heard he started taking drugs because he was depressed because he thought people only liked him because he smashed stuff. NO! He was never depressed. Everyone took drugs back then, especially hippies. He was, is, and always will be the greatest. Long Live James Marshall Hendrix: The Greatest Ever.
